Topics covered will include: Moving from ‘Social Welfare’ to self-employment; Business structures; Introduction to the Business Plan and Personal management strategies for business owners.
This workshop is being delivered by Peter Cronin. Peter is a Business Mentor, Author, Coach and Trainer, with specialisation in start-up and micro enterprise.
Peter has an extremely wide knowledge and experience of micro enterprise stretching over nearly 40 years. During that time he has developed, written and delivered many business focused training modules both for QQI certification and industry.
His qualifications include an honours degree in international business, Train the Trainer, Mentoring, Coaching and conflict management certificates and ongoing CPD. He is currently preparing for a PhD.
Peter has delivered thousands of hours of business mentoring bringing knowledge and experience as diverse as counselling skills to innovative financial solutions. He has directly mentored well over two thousand start-ups and businesses across a huge range of industries. He has helped people with Business Planning, Finance, Strategy, Funding, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Recruitment, Management, Logistics, Exporting, Expansion and Rationalisation and more. He claims there is very little he hasn’t met at least once. Everything he does focuses on practical profitability despite being tailored to suit the individual client.
He works with multiple LEO’s and Partnership companies as well as with private clients. He delivers training in many of the areas mentioned above and lectures in business at 3rd level.
Peter is a serial entrepreneur starting his first business while still at school. He is now Managing Director of Ardú.ie and acts as consultant to a number of other long-established businesses. He published the definitive book for start-ups ‘All the Mistakes…’ in January 2020 and the book is already required reading for several degree level business courses and the preferred text for LEO Start Your Own Business courses in 6 counties.
