Southside Partnership Workshop - Introduction to Taxation

Are you unemployed and living in Dún Laoghaire Rathdown? Would you like to know more about becoming self-employed?

This workshop will cover registering as self-employed with Revenue, the self-employment tax calendar, allowable expenses, Revenue supports, plus an introduction to VAT. Handouts covering 2020 tax credits, tax bands and PRSI rates will also be available.

This workshop is being delivered by Cosmo Mellon, Director of TalentPool Ltd. 


Cosmo is an extremely experienced Facilitator, Trainer, Mentor, Coach and Consultant who emphasises in Coaching entrepreneurs and business leaders to creating profitable and sustainable businesses. He has been training and mentoring for over ten years covering topics as varied as coaching and tendering and Cosmo has a degree and post graduate qualifications in Business Studies and Executive and Life Coaching along with over 30 years of experience both with a large Irish Multinational and in his own business.

Cosmo has a range of topics that he trains, ranging from Start your own business programmes and book keeping to
Tender preparation social media and E.U. Sales strategy and executive coaching. He works for many varied bodies
providing mentoring as well as training on these topics, but has a particular interest in assisting businesses be they
small or start up to expand to fulfil the goals or dreams of their owners.

Cosmo is the main stay of TalentPool’s BTWEA/STEA start your own business programme supports, and facilitates SYOB programmes on behalf of Cork City Partnership, Kilkenny LEADER Partnership, County Wicklow Partnership, Kildare LEADER Partnership and provides shorter courses for the above as well as Paul Partnership, South Dublin Partnership, Laois Partnership, North Tipperary Partnership. Cosmo also facilitates start your own business programmes for six Local Enterprise Offices. These courses focus on confidence for the start up entrepreneur as well and the administration taxation and book keeping.

Cosmo works as a general mentor for a select number of long term business driving business growth and
development with a strong emphasis on management and financial rectitude.
